Ginger-Garlic Jasmine Rice

There’s something about the nutty aroma of Jasmine rice and the sticky texture.  It pairs nicely with a stir fry or tastes great on its own.  A real keeper!

Ginger-Garlic Jasmine Rice

The ginger-garlic combination pairs nicely with the nutty aroma of the jasmine rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP. Canola oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 TBSP. Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1/2 tsp. Sesame oil
  • 2 cups Water or chicken stock

Instructions

  1. Heat oil over medium low heat in a saucepan. Saute garlic, ginger, and salt just until fragrant (about 1 minute.) Add rice and stir well, coating rice with oil.

    Add sesame oil and liquid.  Bring to a boil.  

    Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.
